Charla sobre Violencia de Género y VIH

Con motivo del Día Internacional para la Eliminación de la violencia de género, el pasado 25 de noviembre, tuvo lugar en Equus Zebra una charla sobre el tema impartida por Fundación Mujeres. En ella ha participado el grupo de trabajo “need of resetlements of refugees in Europe”. Dicha charla generó gran participación entre los miembros, que ofrecieron sus opiniones acerca de las causas que provocan la violencia de género y apuntaron posibles medidas a adoptar para su erradicación.



El grupo de trabajo ha participado también de manera activa en la conmemoración del Día Mundial de la Lucha contra el VIH el pasado 5 de diciembre. En este caso se acercaron a impartir una charla dos compañeras del Comité Ciudadano Antisida de A Coruña. Asimismo, se emitió el documental “El silencio de África” -de Médicos del Mundo- en el que se trata la situación de la enfermedad en el continente africano.



To commemorate the celebration of the International Day Against Violence Towards Women, a meeting was held in Equus Zebra, conducted by the Women's Foundation. The “need of resettlements of refugees in Europe” group participated on the meeting, achieving a high level of debate between the participants, who then offered their opinions about the causes of such violence, and also some ways to eradicate it once and for all.



The work group also participated actively in the commemoration of the International Day against AIDS on December 5th. Also two members of the Citizen Committee Against AIDS came by to talk about the same subject. In this case they aired a documentary called "Africa's silence" created by Doctors of the World which addresses the current situation regarding the disease in Africa.

(En la reunión de hoy participan, además de Alí y el psicólogo Rubén, dos psicólogas invitadas: Beatriz y María del Mar)

Se inicia la sesión haciendo una pequeña introducción sobre lo que son las habilidades sociales y sobre la utilidad de dichas habilidades en la consecución de nuestros objetivos cotidianos. Se incide en que una mayor competencia social redunda en una mayor eficacia personal.

Posteriormente se explica el concepto de comunicación y las diferentes formas de comunicación: verbal y no verbal (se mencionan los elementos de la comunicación no verbal y los elementos paralingüísticos).

Se exponen también los tres estilos de comunicación: Pasiva, agresiva y asertiva, debatiendo sus manifestaciones en la comunicación verbal y no verbal así como sus implicaciones en la vida cotidiana.

Se concluye la reunión haciendo varias representaciones breves en role-playing de situaciones cotidianas utilizando los diferentes estilos de comunicación, para ejemplificar de forma visual y divertida los contenidos tratados.

We began with a short introduction about the social skills and the usefulness of these skills in achieving our daily goals. These skills will affect to the social and personal development

Later, we explained the concept of communication and the different forms of communication: verbal and nonverbal (we listed the elements of nonverbal communication and paralinguistic elements).

We also exposed the three communication styles: passive, aggressive and assertive, discussing its manifestations in verbal and nonverbal communication and their implications in daily life.

We conclude the meeting with several brief performances in role-playing everyday situations using different communication styles, in order to illustrate the examples with a visually and funny contents.

Sesión V - Session V

En la sesión del día 21/01/11 acuden como oyentes las psicólogas en prácticas.
Durante la reunión se recuerda lo visto anteriormente, el derecho de asilo, requisitos y consecuencias de los movimientos migratorios; todo ello para introducir el concepto principal que se quiere abordar, que es el derecho de reagrupación familiar.
Para ello previamente y como introducción hablamos de los planes de integración social de inmigrantes y refugiados que se llevan a cabo en las diferentes comunidades autónomas y en concreto se hace referencia al que la comunidad de Madrid lleva poniendo en marcha del 2009 al 2011; queda pendiente de explicar los principios rectores del plan de integración, así como la tarea que se les propone de acudir el próximo día con alguna referencia cultural, gastronómica o de ocio, que identifique al interno con su país de referencia.



We had two psychologists as invited in the meeting on January, 21th.
During the meeting, we recalled the older activities: the right of asylum, the requirements and consequences of migratory movements, in order to introduce the main concept for this session: the rights for family reunification.
Firstly, as introduction, we talked about the social plans for the integration of immigrants and refugees in the different regions and specifically referred for the region of Madrid, developed from 2009 to 2011; We will explain for the next session the main basis of the integration plans and we proposed as activity to be prepared for the next meeting, some questions about culture, gastronomy or leisure of the countries of every student.
