Se hace un breve repaso a los conceptos tratados en las sesiones anteriores.
Se reparte y se lee en voz alta el texto “Los inmigrantes ahora” de Jorge Bucay, en el que se compara los movimientos migratorios de los animales en busca de alimento con las migraciones de los seres humanos en busca de trabajo y huyendo de la guerra y de la pobreza, señalándose el drama de las personas que no lo consiguen o fallecen en el intento. Partiendo de esta poesía se hace un debate en el que se expone los motivos que les ha empujado a venir a España, las dificultades que han encontrado y lo que han obtenido; poniendo el acento en que todos (a pesar de sus diferentes circunstancias) persiguen los mismos objetivos, hallan los mismos problemas y actualmente se encuentran en una situación muy similar. En esta actividad principalmente se han expuesto que problemas vivían en cada uno de sus países y los motivos que les empujaron a tomar la decisión de inmigrar a España, También se les pregunta qué idea tienen actualmente de España, indicando si ésta ha cambiado de la que tenían inicialmente antes de venir aquí.
Se invita a cada participante a que haga una pequeña exposición sobre su país de origen; (concretamente se hace referencia a Uruguay, Mauritania, Chad, Senegal, Costa de Marfil, Gambia, Marruecos, China y España). Son exposiciones muy breves en las que principalmente se pretende señalar como es la vida cotidiana que llevaba cada uno, se dirigen y complemntan las intervenciones con información obtenida en Internet para hacer breves referencias a datos geográficos, culturales y religiosos de cada país mencionado. Se les solicita también que indiquen al resto del grupo que es lo que más les gusta de su país o que les aconsejarían visitar si pudieran.
Con estas actividades conseguimos aumentar el conocimiento entre los participantes y de sus culturas y costumbres, favoreciendo así la actitud de tolerancia hacia las diferencias existentes entre los integrantes del grupo y hacia la diversidad cultural.
Asisten todos los internos convocados. Únicamente falta a la sesión del 30/12/10 Wang Lu Ling porque se encontraba disfrutando de un permiso ordinario de salida.
SESSIONS III and IV, (23/12/1910 and 30/12/1910)
We began with a brief overview of the concepts discussed in previous sessions.
We distributed and read the text "Immigrants now" by Jorge Bucay, which compares the migrations of animals for food with the migrations of human looking for job and avoiding war and poverty, pointing out the drama of people who do not get it or even die trying. After the reading, we realized a debate which sets out the reasons that pushed them to come to Spain, the difficulties that they have encountered and what they have achieved, emphasizing that all people (with their different circumstances) pursue the same goals are the same problems and are currently in a similar situation. In this activity we have exposed the main problems in their countries and the reasons which led them to decide to immigrate to Spain. We also asked what was their idea about Spain, and what things they have changed from that initially idea they had before coming here.
Every participant is invited to give a short presentation about their country of origin (specifically referring to Uruguay, Mauritania, Chad, Senegal, Ivory Coast, Gambia, Morocco, China and Spain). The exposures are very brief mainly looking for information about their daily life. The interventions are completing with information obtained on the Internet to make brief references to its geographical, cultural and religious backgrounds of each country mentioned. They are also requested to indicate to the group what they like more in their countries or what they would like visit if they could.
With these activities we get more acknowledge about the different cultures and customs, and it will create an attitude of tolerance for the differences between group members and for the cultural diversity.
