El primer encuentro entre las delegaciones inglesa, turca y española ha puesto de relieve las amplias posibilidades que ofrece el proyecto Grundtvig .
Primero en cuanto a acercar posiciones a la hora de determinar cuales deben ser las bases para un claro proceso de integración de los refugiados, inmigrantes o de aquellas personas que deben trasladarse a un país diferente para inciar una nueva vida, ya sea por problemas políticos, económicos, sociales o familiares.
Para ello y planteando como recurso básico el de la educación todos lo socios presentarán proyectos en los que desde la formación básica, profesional, etc se logre orientar o reintegrar al individuo en una realidad social que a veces se presenta como hostil.
Desde el C.P. de Monterroso y como Subdirectora de Tratamiento del mismo y parte del Equipo Técnico utilizamos diferentes programas y actividades dirigidas a solventar las carencias de aquellos que además de ser internos ( penados) son inmigrantes y en ocasiones posibles refugiados. Por otro lado también son necesarias
Los talleres ocupacionales, las actividades deportivas, los programas de rehabilitación, de prevención de recaída en el consumo de drogas, así como aquellos dirigidos al tratamiento específico de determinados delitos: agresores sexuales, violencia doméstica, jóvenes, enfermos mentales, etc.
The first meeting between the English, Turkish and Spanish delegations has highlighted the vast possibilities offered by the Grundtvig project.
Firstly we could bring positions closer to determining which should be the basis for a clear process of integration of refugees, immigrants or those who must travel to a different country to start a new life, because they had to face with political, economic or familiar problems.
To do so and posing education as a basic resource, all partners will present projects in which, since basic or professional training, the individual can be rehabilitated in a social reality that is sometimes presented as hostile.
From the Penitentiary Centre of Monterroso and as Assistant Director of Treatment and member of the same technical equipment, I must say that we are using various programmes and activities designed to cope with the shortcomings of those who in addition to being inmates, are also immigrants and some of them might be considered as refugees.
On the other hand, we also consider very important the inmates’ involvement in skill workshops, sports activities, rehabilitation programmes, prevention of relapse into drug use, as well as those programmes directed to specific treatment of certain crimes: rapists, domestic violence, young, sick mental, and so on.
